Fortune 500 In Distress

August 22nd, 2008

As Director of Marketing for a fortune 500 company, it is my job to come up with innovative ways to make sure that our company develops and maintains business relations with all customers as well as seek out and target new customers and new sales opportunities. The upcoming Breast Cancer Awareness month in October seemed to me to be the perfect way to strategically promote our company through promotional items. We wanted to giveaway promotional items that would help let our clients, customers, and employees know that we fully support breast cancer awareness while also, because of our support of breast cancer awareness, attract new customers. In my search for the perfect promotional item I came across Buypromosonline.com. This website had a large selection of promotional items and to my great surprise even had a line of promotional items specifically for breast cancer awareness. I thought we were going to have to get promotional items specially made for breast cancer awareness. However, Buypromosonline.com met our need by already having a line of breast cancer awareness products. There were at least 50 items to choose from. We went with the pink awareness ribbons because it is a commonly known symbol for breast cancer awareness. Everyone was pleased with this and I was very excited about finding Buypromosonline.com. I just wanted to let other companies in on the great deal that we got doing business with this wonderful company.

I have found the most amazing children’s book! I was in Barnes & Nobles the other day searching for the perfect children’s book for my daughter Melissa. I wanted something that would teach her about money because she’s at that age where she’s starting to get a dollar here and a dollar there. Well my Melissa really enjoys reading right before she goes to bed so I try as much as possible to buy books that teach her important lessons for the future you know when she gets older and has to make relevant life decision on her own. “Can I have Some Money Please?” by Twyla Prindle was the perfect choice! I mean I am raving about it to everyone! I can’t believe this book is so easy to read and yet it gets the point across to children so clearly about saving and managing money. On top of that the drawings were vibrant and enhanced the books appeal. I absolutely LOVED this book for my daughter. If you are a parent looking for the next perfect book to give to your children Twyla Prindle’s “Can I Have Some Money Please” is it!

Recently a friend of mine bought me a wall clock.  Upon receiving it my initial reaction was not one of excitement because I thought ‘oh, just another clock’, you know…no big deal.  However after hanging it in my office and seeing it day after day after day, I realized that it was no ordinary clock!  I know your wondering how can a clock be….well….unordinary?  But I promise you that everytime I was sitting in my office procastinating or unable to work I would glance at the clock and there it was written boldly in the center of the clock, “Now is the Time”. Those four motivational words would whip me into shape and next thing you know my to do list became a done list!  You want to know the latest buzz? It’s Now Is The Time products.  I went to their website and not only do they have clocks but also wristwatches, t-shirts, mugs and so much more! Check them out!
